Gabrielle is an actor, singer, writer, and wellness advocate. She appeared on Broadway as Little Eva in Beautiful - The Carole King Musical, and the Emmy Award Winning TV Series The Marvellous Mrs. Maisel. Gabrielle uses her platform to share advice, explore her experience as a black woman who is always reinventing herself, and to promote the importance of radical self care.

UNRAVEL: A Virtual Monologue Slam Competition

In partnership with the Harold Green Jewish Theatre


UNRAVEL featured 10 young Canadian writer-performers reflecting on the topic of Jewish Identity. The top 10 monologues were broadcast on YouTube and our top 3 finalists were selected by guest judges Elly Barlin-Daniels, Rachel Dratch, Jamie Elman, and Ari Weinberg.

 

Top 10 Finalists: Jenna Berenbaum, Anna Binder, Ori Black, Amanda Freedman, Naomi Guttman, Fanny Kearse, Rachel Manson, Becca Willow Moss, Adina Samuels, and Stephanie Zeit.

'Although the cycle repeats, the emotional connection to a period over a lifetime changes. A Period Piece is a collaborative ensemble piece that examines the question of what it means to menstruate and how is that synonymous with womanhood. It's a coming-of-age tale from the first period to last.'

Nutcracker Workshop with Greta Hodgkinson

Greta Hodgkinson, former Principal Dancer with The National Ballet of Canada and recipient of the Order of Ontario, joined Artists in Residence to lead a special Nutcracker-themed ballet class in support of Meagan's HUG. Participants learned the Sugar Plum Fairy Variation from the Royal Winnipeg Ballet's production of The Nutcracker.
